Fall Hits
New York, Paris, art, and a shopping find (or three).
Fall has been full in the best way. New York feels energized, with so many events and exhibits happening all at once. I also had the chance to visit Paris for a long weekend to see friends, visit museums, and stop into some of my favorite shops (which definitely counts as research). It was short but rich, with lots (and lots) of walking, eating, exploring, and getting inspired. I came home with a full camera roll and a pretty full suitcase, too.
So far, the season has been busy in the best way, so I wanted to share a few highlights: the places, people, and moments that have kept me excited (and maybe a few that found their way into my closet… and some inspirations for future KULE collections).
One of my first stops in Paris was Charvet. I couldn’t help myself after seeing all the Paris Fashion Week content and the beautiful pieces they created with Chanel for their recent collaboration. I also stopped by Rubirosas, a charming boutique filled with shirts, pajamas, loafers, and slippers. I liked the interior, atmosphere, and even the packaging. Another highlight was Crimson Cashmere, where I met the lovely owner, Linda Wright, whom I had been following on Instagram for years. The walls of cashmere are a dream: endless stacks of color. I picked up a great grandpa-style cardigan there (in navy, of course). I also made sure to visit the Charlotte Chesnais shop, and I was not disappointed. Her jewelry is so sculptural and effortlessly cool.

Of course, I made time for museums: Musée National Picasso, a forever favorite, and the Bourse de Commerce, which was showing a major exhibition on Minimal Art.
One of the most special moments was seeing my dear friend Karyn Lyons’ new show, DAY FOR NIGHT, at Stem’s Gallery. I loved every bit of it, including the great group I spent the evening with.
Back in New York, and back to the grind. I headed straight to the same things I love, no matter where I am. I made time to meet up with my friends Blanca and Van for breakfast at Cafe Birley, and we spent a packed morning uptown at two of my favorite galleries in NYC: Turn Gallery and Lévy Gorvy Dayan. I also went to Underwater Weaving Studio’s Apple Harvest Celebration in the West Village, followed by a dinner at Via Carota. That pie!
I compiled a few outfits from the last few weeks, most of which were candidly taken at my office, where the best looks (and moments to take a photo) always come together between meetings.

Sandals and trousers are one of my favorite pairings, only wearable for a small slice of the year, which makes them feel even more fun to wear. I suppose I’ll have to wait until spring to do this again.

I’ve recently been drawn to pajama dressing, including robes, sets, and so on. It’s incredibly comfortable and easy, but looks fresh. I love it paired with great accessories.

I’m a firm believer that fall outerwear makes the outfit. It’s the mid-weight dressing season that makes layering fun.

Si bon!
And here is to a great November! We have limited hours of daylight, so let’s make the most of them.
xo,
Nikki

Love all of this!!
